The poet Richard Mirabel who used to live in White Rock, B.C. (he died in 2007) never tried to publish his poetry. In fact though, he had been writing poems all his life. Please find the brief story about Richard Mirabel, a reporter of a unique newspaper "The Little Review" (1926-1939) master-minded by Janusz Korczak, attached below.

Ludwik Mirabel passed away on September 30, 2012 in Vancouver. Ludwik Mirabel (b. 1917) a medical doctor, belonged to an ever shrinking group of people who knew Janusz Korczak personally. Before World War II he was one of the young contributors to Little Review ("Maly Przeglad"), a unique newspaper established by Korczak and written by children for children.
In 1933, Ludwik Mirabel, who was 16 years old, published the interview with Janusz Korczak - "45 Minutes with Korczak" ("Trzy kwadranse z Korczakiem").
Please find below a link to learn more about L. Mirabel including English translation of the interview "45 Minutes with Korczak".

In May 2006 Dr. Ludwik Mirabel delivered a talk The Promise Land of Maly Przeglad at the Vancouver Holocaust Education Centre for the members of Janusz Korczak and public.
We express our heartfelt condolences to his children and the rest of the family.

Leon Gluzman passed away on October 3, 2012 in Ottawa.
Leon Gluzman (b. 1917) was one of the last surviving pupils of Janusz Korczak. He lived in the Home for Orphans from 1923 -1930. Leon saved for us the postcards that children of the Home received from the Old Doctor; post cards that are iconic in Korczak's pedagogy.
Leon kept repeating "The Home for Orphans shaped my life and decided my fate... " Till his last breath Leon still considered himself a pupil of legendary Janusz Korczak.
Leon Gluzman's life has been elaborately described in the recently published book "May their lot be lighter... Of Janusz Korczak and his pupil." by Olga Medvedeva-Nathoo.
We express our deepest condolences to his children and the rest of the family.
