About the book
Published by the Janusz Korczak Association of Canada, the photo album is based on the exhibition of pictures by Shlomo Nadel in the context of his biography as related to the UN Charter of Children’s Rights, with an introduction by the Ambassador Titulaire of the Republic of Poland, Dr. Krzysztof Olendzki and financed by the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Vancouver.
The photo exhibition of life in Dr. Korczak’s orphanage was featured at the book launch of the biography by Lea Lipiner, My Life as a Child of Janusz Korczak — the Father of Children’s Rights — The Biography of Shlomo Nadel. The event was co-hosted by the Provincial Advocate for Children and Youth of Ontario and UNICEF Canada in recognition of International Human Rights Day. Pictures copyright: Shlomo Nadel.
