Marlena Sęczek from the Institute of Literary Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences is working on creating the family tree of Dr. Janusz Korczak. The Polish version is almost complete and the English version is expected to be available shortly.

: 1935 – Getting ready for shoveling snow with Pyotter Zalevski the superintendent

: 1934 – The mandolin orchestra. In the center seats Fabian the instructor who was also the music teacher of the home.

: 1934 – The instructors staff {Bursa}. This picture was taken in the year of 1934. Most of Shlomo’s pictures were taken that year for sometimes he could use a camera then. Second party on the left is Felek Grzyb & his wife to be Blumka who went to Treblinka along with their toddler girl & DR. Korczak.

: 1934 – Dr. Korczak, Steffa & the children in summer camp in Gocławek.

: 1934 – A wooden kayak which went by the nick name cheeby which was given to it after the name of Shirley temple’s beloved movie. The kayak was built by the children under the instructions of Igor Neverly. Igor was the secretary of Korczak & later became a known writer & an active figure in preserving Korczak’s memory. Igor’s hobby was wood curving & he accepted the children’s request to teach them how to curve. The children sailed the kayak on the Visla river straight in to the columns of the bridge on top of the river. The kayak was broken though the children were unharmed .In the middle, Felek Grzyb. Shlomo took the picture in 1934.

: 1931 – This picture was taken by Felek Grzyb A typical morning in the Home: after drinking the fish oil all children would place in rows’ wearing the school uniform, in the back yard for morning exercise.

: 1934 – Korczak in company with children & instructors in the yard. It wasn’t of his habit to take part in the photos but this time he accepted Shlomo’s request. The picture was taken out side because of the poor light in the house. Third on the left seats a close friend of Shlomo, Sara (who had died). In the background there are lilac trees which had a wonderful strong smell.

: 1934 – This picture was taken by Felek Grzyb. Apples picking by children, instructors & workers in Roziczka summer camp. ON the left stands Franzekova, a polish farmer who took care of the small dairy barn. There was a rumor that at the beginning her salary was one Zloty & when they offered her raise to 30 Zloty she strongly refused & was even insulted.
